Milton Maxwell Cummins

Milton Cummins, 80, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2023. He was known for his sense of humor and could always be found in the evenings smoking his tobacco pipe. He touched the lives of many with his warm heart and unwavering kindness to all.

Family was at the center of Milton's life. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, always putting the needs of his family first. Milton was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillian Cummins, and daughter, Carrie Cummins. He is survived by his daughters Jessica Cummins, Beth Pennington, and Tracy Bunnell along with his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In his spare time, Milton enjoyed reading, painting, and watching some of his favorite television shows, such as Are you Being Served and Blue Bloods. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, love for his late wife, and for his respect and kindness toward others.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Wilson County Humane Society, a cause that was close to both his and his wife’s heart.

Milton will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a commitment to making the world a better place.

So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.”
