James Edward Benton

James Edward Benton, age 72, passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2021, in Nashville, TN. He was born in Carrollton, IL on June 17, 1948, to the late Ted Benton and Nellie Lacey Benton.

James is survived by his children, James Michael Benton of Jacksonville, IL, Christina (Mark) Hallock of Roodhouse, IL, and Janice (Brad) Coppedge of Staunton, IL; sister, Janet (Peter) Khlantzos of Godfrey, IL; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The family appreciates all the words of comfort and kindnesses that have been extended to them through this difficult time and wish to share that a memorial graveside will be held at a later date.
